Northwest Georgia Emergency Net Preamble

CQ to all amateur radio operators from the Whiskey 4 Victor Oscar Northwest Georgia Emergency Net. This is (your call, your name and qth) and I will be serving as net controller on this (date). The time now is 9 pm local, and this net is now in session. The intent of this net is to prepare for, and to demonstrate the ability to provide communications during periods of disaster through the facilities of the W4VO repeater located atop Mt. Alto in Rome Georgia. All licensed amateur radio operators are invited to participate in this net for the purposes of receiving and distributing emergency message traffic, official bulletins, and general comments. In addition, this net welcomes and encourages technical discussions, and a listing of equipment for sale or swap, and equipment wanted or needed by the participants. Please list amateur radio related equipment only on swap shop.
